Kimberly Lim, B.S., M.B.A.
CEO/President
Kim Lim brings over ten years of biopharmaceutical engineering and validation experience to Ultimate Labs’ foundation. After receiving a B.S. in Bioengineering at University of Pennsylvania, School of Engineering and Applied Science, her love of learning drove her to obtain two Masters degrees, one from Columbia University in Operations Management and the second, in Education and Teaching, from University of Phoenix. Kim, a minority businesswoman, stepped into the world of engineering and surpassed all expectations. Through her extensive career in Validation, Kim provided excellent validation services to a myriad of clients in support of clinical and product manufacturing. She also has extensive experience managing and drafting validation projects, directing multi-departmental teams, and developing medical and pharmaceutical equipment.
Kim’s motto, “see a need, fill a need,” explains her role as an influencer in the bio-engineering field, as well as in the community and her family. She enjoys teaching high school math and physics as a way to spread her passion for learning and science. Her most important job, however, is being a mother to her two sons.
As one of the owners of Ultimate Labs, Kim’s responsibilities include business development, quality oversight and employee management. Her vision, management style and vast industry knowledge will foster the company’s expansion.
Rich Riccio
Business Development Manager
Rich has over 15 years experience as a business entrepreneur as co-owner, COO, VP of National & International Sales and Marketing with an electronics firm in the San Diego area. In a company of 67 employees, Rich had direct reports and staff of nearly 60 people resulting in extensive management experience coordinating efforts in 4 distinct divisions.
Additionally Rich’s includes over 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry within the engineer, validation and facilities departments.
Throughout his vast and varied careers, Rich brings a steady hand at establishing a new organization processes, operational procedures, sales & marketing programs, good financial practices & criteria, as well as facilities related matters. Rich has t unsuccessful programs into success stories, streamlined organizations, and has been called a “Merlin” in transforming unprofitable opportunities to profitable operations. A generalist overall, with a keen eye with organization skills and emphasis on details, allows Rich to wear many hats with the goal of “getting things done” effectively and efficiently.
Janice Schmidt. B.A., M.B.A.
Sales Manager
Janice obtained her pre-med degree from UC Berkeley. She has over 10 years of Sales & Marketing experience in the Medical and High Tech marketplace. She has crossed multiple markets including Pharmaceutical, R & D, Medical Device and Electronics. She has operated in at various stages of corporate growth from startup to very mature. With a wide spectrum of tools at her disposal she can evaluate the market and identify the strategy and tactics needed to move corporate growth. This also allows for the understanding and vision to position the company to obtain maximum market share.
Understanding the market and listening to the client are the trademarks of her success. She is able to pinpoint the needs and opportunities of the client and deliver on them. With her technical background she can help clients make the best choice when it comes to their services.
Janice enjoys sports and has a passion for learning. She also enjoys art and travels regularly to
Europe for Art excursions. She has volunteered extensively at the schools of her 2 children as PTA President and in various other officer positions. This allowed her to introduce innovative methods of raising much needed funds for projects and school enhancements.
Janice brings a scope to the business that keeps the focus on the “client and their needs”.
As Sales Manager, she works to bring about an accelerated level of success for Ultimate Labs that she firmly believes in.
Janina Wills
Quality Manager
Janina brings over ten years of biopharmaceutical and validation experience to Ultimate Labs’ foundation. After receiving a B.S. in Biology at Loyola Marymount University, School of Science and Engineering, she went on to work at one of the biggest biotech companies. Here, in the clinical manufacturing department, is where she found her interest in validation and computers.
She has an extensive career in validation at several biotech and pharmaceutical companies all over the US. Janina has provided
excellent validation services in support of the clinical, manufacturing and packaging process. As a consultant at a myriad of clients she has taken the best and worst she has seen and applied them to Ultimate Labs’ quality system. She enjoys working at the Lab where there is a positive work environment and admires the people she works with. She believes that everyone is dedicated to the success of the Lab and the happiness of the clients.
She enjoys traveling, cooking and baking. She strongly believes in the importance of family and friendship. Her most important job, however, is being a loving mother to her two children and wife to her husband.
As the Quality Manager of Ultimate Labs, Janina’s responsibilities include quality oversight.
